Natasha Week #1: A Sunset Meaning
Sunset occurs once a day, every day. Everyone has seen it multiple times before. But I think it is one of those things where it is being perceived differently to everyone else. We all look at the same colors: yellow, orange, pink, and purple, yet a sunset can mean something completely different to each person. Although we see the same thing, the words we use to describe it are shaped by our memories, experiences, and own feelings. When I think of a sunset, I think of the golden hour. It is a short period of time when the sun has just begun to set and everything is covered in a soft warm light. It marks the end of the day, transitioning into nighttime. It creates a calm and comforting atmosphere to be in, especially when taking a short walk along the neighborhood. It feels like the world has slowed down for a brief moment allowing us to clear our minds and enjoy the beauty.
